Ten minutes ago Terry began stirring anxiously in his sleep, doing that muffled barking of a deeply slumbering dog.
Thirty seconds later, a 4.4 earthquake hit the greater L.A. area. It was the first time I actually heard the earth move, making a boom sound deeper than any stone against stone I'd ever heard before.

I ran into the bedroom to tell Jifo about our animal's instincts. And he was sleeping sound as a vampire in daylight.

I'm new here and just assuming that Jifo is hubby/significant other. It reminded me of the time MY hubs slept through my labor. Yep.
LOL! Yet another great reason to love our canine companions (except for the psycho ones in my neighborhood who attack).
I'm glad to find your blog :)
I have nothing to say about this earthquake, but you indicated in your comment on my blog that I should come here to respond to you rather than respond to your comment on my blog ... so, here I am.
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. And I hope you reserve a little of your writing time to write what's in your heart.
Wow - great description. I almost feel as if I was there. I miss how my dog used to let us know when a storm was coming. She was terrified of thunder storms and she could hear them long before we could.
